Lindsey Stewart Sherrod is a self-taught designer. Her childhood, spent near the Smoky Mountains, instilled principles of conservation and her understanding of the environment. She began LILYAN JAMES in 2014 to explore creating accessories outside of expected manufacturing practices.
With the women in her family who found their own paths as a starting point, she returned to Tennessee to study the saddle making process. Combining craftsmanship and subtle feminine detailing, the result is a collection of durable accessories with unique silhouettes featured in Forbes and WWD.
