Paper & Clay: Svlume Vase
Paper & Clay
Paper & Clay began with a desire to bring beautiful design to everyday objects. They concentrate on functional ceramics that the female owner still designs and makes herself, and with the help of her small team. She draws inspiration from her love of Scandinavian modernism — simple, warm, purposeful objects grounded in natural forms and colors. Each piece is made by hand in their Memphis, TN studio with careful attention to detail, and each glaze has been carefully developed from scratch to create subtle and unique colors that mix and match harmoniously. They source many materials locally and all within the U.S., and are committed to growing slowly and sustainably in order to build a lasting brand that is committed to quality handmade ceramic wares.
The Svulme Vase, both name and form rooted in the idea of an ocean wave or swell, is stunning to hold and behold. The undulating shape adds a sophisticated playfulness to any arrangement that you place in it. The form of our Svulme vase is a perfect addition to the decor in both the most contemporary or the most unfussy home - the variety of our made-from-scratch satin glazes allow this vase to be so versatile. The Svulme vase is a favorite to gift alongside a month of fresh arrangements from your favorite local florist.
